LAS VEGAS – At the InfoComm trade show today, Beaverton, Oregon-based Biamp introduced the Community R.15-3696 loudspeaker, which offers excellent voice intelligibility and quality music playback, in a compact size with pricing optimized for very large deployments. The R.15-3696 loudspeaker augments the best-selling Community R SERIES and is designed for both indoor and outdoor applications that require shorter throw distances than those provided with the larger R SERIES speakers, such as short throw sports field applications, stadium concourses, warehouses, gymnasiums, and other similar highly reverberant spaces.
“The exploding growth of warehouse space and other similar large venues in search of installed sound necessitates new types of loudspeakers that can perform multiple functions well, from voice fidelity to music reproduction, all the while providing for more efficient layout designs and cost-effective coverage patterns,” said Joe Andrulis, Executive Vice President of Corporate Development at Biamp. “Customers have made this need clear and our new R.15-3696 is unlike anything else available on the market, providing unrivalled intelligibility and sound quality in such a small package.”
The Community R.15-3696 is a full-range, three-way, triaxial loudspeaker that prioritizes high sensitivity and output in the critical voice intelligibility range, while still providing fuller bandwidth than basic paging horns. Its compact size and more affordable price make it ideal for large installations, while the symmetric waveguide and included adjustable U-bracket mount offer more flexible positioning and pattern control to cover large spaces more effectively.
