Cushman and Wakefield is a leading global commercial real estate services firm headquartered in Chicago, Illinois. With more than 400 offices in 60 countries, the company is committed to delivering exceptional value for real estate occupiers and owners.
Crestron has enhanced Cushman and Wakefield’s workplaces for employees, with solutions that are easy to use and optimize their experience. With Crestron Flex, Cushman and Wakefield was able to address the needs of over 500 meeting spaces and create a stellar example of what the ideal office space can look like.
THE CHALLENGE
Following a migration from Skype® for Business software to Microsoft Teams® platform, Cushman and Wakefield needed a native video conferencing solution that would address the needs of retrofits in their existing offices and also serve as a room design blueprint for new locations. Sagar Modi, Global Unified Communications Architect at Cushman and Wakefield, and his team set out to refresh these offices with the latest conferencing and room scheduling technology.
THE SOLUTION
Crestron’s digital workplace solutions combine sleek designs with a robust technology experience that elevates the Cushman and Wakefield meeting rooms. With Crestron, Modi and his team have created a seamless collaboration for employees with the expectation that anyone can walk into a room and easily set up a meeting without any complications.
THE TECHNOLOGY
As a client-facing brand, Cushman and Wakefield has a vested interest in leading by example. When bringing clients into their offices, these spaces serve as a way to showcase what can be accomplished through thoughtful designs and technology integrations. Crestron Flex allowed Modi and his team to address the needs of over 500 meeting spaces, no matter the room size or configuration.
With locations all over the globe, Cushman and Wakefield employees must stay connected with one another. For retrofitting existing offices in their Chicago headquarters, Cushman and Wakefield integrated custom Flex configurations that allowed them to leverage the existing in-room peripherals. Updates to these spaces were able to be completed within hours. An impressive venue space on the top floor adds in Crestron DigitalMedia™ content distribution for hosting public events or internal town hall meetings.
The Cushman and Wakefield meetings rooms were designed to cater to the user experience and meet the requests of employees to address any pain points and create a frictionless experience. In other Cushman and Wakefield offices, design standards have been developed using Crestron Flex that focus on the technology needs of each area. The variety of form factors in the Crestron Flex portfolio has made it possible to maintain a consistent Microsoft Teams experience throughout the offices.
Additionally, Crestron room scheduling offers a simple and consistent experience for room booking. Employees can easily see when a room is booked or available and schedule an open space directly from the panel. Cushman and Wakefield has deployed over 300 scheduling panels globally, which has made managing rooms more efficient throughout the offices.
Supporting the technology across their global offices is no small task for Modi and his team. The Crestron XiO Cloud® Technology Operations Management Platform is used to monitor every Crestron solution deployed globally. Since XiO Cloud can be used over any network, IT support can happen from anywhere to any device saving both time and money.
RESULTS
Crestron has enhanced Cushman and Wakefield’s workplaces for employees, with solutions that are easy to use and optimize their experience. Cushman and Wakefield has fully embraced the digital transformation and serves as a stellar example of what the ideal office space can look like.
