The VP500-100 is designed for HDMI digital vido sources. When source is non-HDCP (which are typically PC or Laptop) the VP500-100 converts signal at full resolution. When Source is HDCP (which are typically Blu ray disk or HD programming) then VP500-100 reduces the number of colors and resolution of the output signal. Altinex is both HDMI and HDCP adaptor and complies with all applicable requirements. The VP500-100 is an HDMI to VGA video converter which is compliant with digital video standards. The VP500-100 works with HD-DVD, Blu-ray, Playstation 3, etc. The VGA output connector is a standard 15-pin HD M that connects directly to the input of the VGA display. The video output supports all resolutions up to 1920x1080/60Hz.
