Model: DTEN ONboard
Oct. 13, 2020 - DTEN And Zoom are more tightly aligned than ever before. And our commitment to you, our shared customers, has never been greater. Now more than ever, DTEN is dedicated to the co-innovation of modern video solutions, designed to help you effectively communicate and collaborate, wherever you are.
Since our first Zoomtopia, DTEN and Zoom have brought new solutions to market that reimagine how we can create deeper connections and experience more impactful meetings. Zoomtopia 2020 will be no different.
In preparation of our new product announcements tomorrow, we are taking a look back on what DTEN and Zoom have done together to deliver happiness to users, and to meet the challenges of 2020.
DTEN is Zoom’s Innovation Partner of the Year
DTEN Awarded Partner Innovation Award at Zoomtopia 2019
Zoomtopia 2019 wrapped with DTEN being awarded the Zoom Innovation Partner of the Year. That was simply the jumpstart to an incredible year of working together to help people stay connected while working from home and preparing for our eventual return to the office.
This year, DTEN and Zoom have continued our commitment to democratizing technology and delivering customer happiness with innovative software and hardware offerings designed to enhance the user experience.
Last February, DTEN and Zoom headed to Amsterdam for ISE (Integrated Systems Europe). Together we delivered Zoom Meetings via DTEN’s ON 55” Zoom Rooms Appliance and the D7 75” All-in-One Display.
DTEN and Zoom co-develop solutions that improve the ways users connect with one another, wherever they are
We also celebrated the “Zoom Office Portal” project. Using 4 DTEN D7 75” displays, Zoom was able to connect the Amsterdam, London, Denver, and San Jose offices with an “always on” meeting to stimulate global connectivity and collaboration.
While we toasted our success, little did we know that in a few short weeks, we would face a global pandemic that would completely change the definition of “work”.
When Covid -19 Arrived
We had a project in development when Covid -19 arrived. No one envisioned that the world would slow down, millions of people would transition to working from home or that parents, teachers and kids would all have to find a new way to teach and learn.
However, as the pandemic hit, we were already over 5 months into development of what has become the Zoom for Home – DTEN ME. Both DTEN and Zoom recognized the work from home trend was accelerating and that new workspaces would become essential for the office. We knew this joint DTEN/Zoom project would be needed sooner than we had initially anticipated.
We doubled down on the Zoom for Home – DTEN ME and brought to market the ideal 27” all-in-one device, perfect for delivering the in-office meeting experience on your desk at home.
The Zoom for Home - DTEN ME is the ultimate personal collaboration device for the home office
Accompanying the DTEN ME, is Zoom for Home, a new offering included with Zoom Meetings user licenses that allows anyone to deploy our personal collaboration device for video meetings, phone calls, interactive whiteboarding and annotation.
July brought the announcement of Zoom HaaS, or Hardware as a Service. Zoom HaaS allows you to scale your video conference rooms with DTEN hardware options and simple hardware upgrades at an affordable, fixed monthly price. One-stop, streamlined purchasing that consolidates your software and hardware subscriptions on a single invoice from Zoom.
Getting Ready for School
During the summer months, DTEN & Zoom have rolled up their sleeves to address the exploding technology needs in education as millions of students started learning remotely.
Our blend of easy to use, yet powerful and human-centric design has allowed K-12 schools like Monte Vista Christian School to the University of Southern California, the technology possible to succeed and deliver an immersive and engaging learning experience.
Return to the Office and Looking Ahead to the Future
Looking ahead, we went to work to help provide solutions using DTEN technology in support of Zoom’s “Workplace Re-entry Design Guide”. Crafted by Zoom, these solutions provide expertise in keeping a safe, socially distanced environment for the office and education, as well as the perfect Home Office set-up.
All the while, we have continued to optimize the product user experience and strategized to develop all new solutions that we are both extremely excited about. We look forward to revealing what is next at this year’s Zoomtopia.
